Stamford, CT and College Station, TX - Time Warner Cable and NetNearU (NNU) the leading provider of private label Wi-Fi systems, today announced a multi-year agreement to continue Time Warner Cable's deployment of Wi-Fi networks using NetNearU's TRACKOSTM software in the Time Warner Cable service areas. Time Warner Cable has deployed a number of Speed Zone sites around the country. "Speed Zone has been a great addition to our product portfolio," says Chuck Sweeney Vice President of Business Solutions for Time Warner Cable in Houston. "Speed Zone has enabled us to acquire new business and leverage our existing commercial accounts." Time Warner Cable currently allows their Road Runner Subscribers free access to the Speed Zone sites, further enhancing their broadband offering. NetNearU's Wi-Fi software system, TRACKOS, enables Time Warner Cable to easily deploy comprehensive Wi-Fi networks. NNU provides roaming settlement services allowing Road Runner Subscribers to traverse the Speed Zone deployments across the Time Warner footprint. "Time Warner Cable is clearly a leader in their industry within the Wi-Fi space.
